Mayor's Award

The Mayor’s Award recognizes Triangle-area students who serve their community in meaningful ways.

Students who complete the required number of volunteer hours at area nonprofits during summer break are recognized by the Mayor at a ceremony in the fall. Last year, students logged more than 30,000 hours of community service through the Mayor’s Award!

Since 1998, the Mayor’s Award has recognized students for their service to the community each summer.
