Success Stories
Triangle Board Connect provided me with a user friendly tool to recruit board members to the CAM (Contemporary Art Foundation) in Raleigh. We are able to focus our board initiatives on the business side of the foundation’s work with the recruitment of community leaders. CAM is in the process of using TBC again to fill open positions within our board.

The Triangle BoardConnect program worked well for me. I attended a Durham “Chamber U” event regarding non-profit board participation and learned about TBC. I visited the website, entered my profile, and received several emails of interest. Ultimately, I interviewed with and joined the Board of the Piedmont Wildlife Center.

I have ‘fished’ for others, but none has taken the bait prior to my use of Triangle Board Connect. TBC has enabled me to better recruit board members by writing a more concise description of the types of board members that I need.

…a great way for us to connect with those prospective board members who have an intrinsic interest in serving the Museum’s mission.

I have always had a love of music. It was a natural fit, therefore, when I found, through Triangle BoardConnect, that Mallarme Chamber Players was looking for a Treasurer. TBC provided a valuable connection.

We posted our need for a person with a financial background on TBC. There were several to
choose from, but Tom Cogswell, a CPA with both outstanding for profit and not for profit
experience, just stood out. He has joined our board, and is now serving as Chair of our Finance
Committee.

I joined the Philharmonic Association board in Raleigh through Triangle BoardConnect. I played in the Association's orchestra (Triangle Youth Philharmonic) when I was in high school. Ten years later, I was honored to join the board and help with their fundraising and development. My unique position as a former musician, young nonprofit professional, and fundraiser made it an easy fit for both of us. I enjoy contributing to this organization now because it meant so much to me as a young musician. Without Triangle BoardConnect, I don't know that I would have known about the opportunity, or chosen to contact them to join their board.
