Welcome to Triangle BoardConnect (TBC). We offer a convenient, no cost way to match nonprofit boards with potential board members. If you are an individual interested in board service or a nonprofit looking for a new board member or committee member, you have come to the right place.

Utilizing the effective Internet website of boardnetUSA, Triangle BoardConnect makes it possible:

  • For nonprofit organizations to search for potential board members with needed skills, experience and affiliations.
  • For individuals who are interested in serving on a nonprofit board or committee. The process is anonymous until they decide to share their contact information with the nonprofit organization.

TBC is a free online service that enables nonprofits and prospective board members to find each other in Chatham, Durham, Orange and Wake counties in North Carolina

The Starting Point: Completing your Profile

You should attempt to answer all questions asked by the boardnetUSA program in developing your profile.  Your efforts, whether you are a nonprofit or an individual, will reflect the commitment you are making in order to achieve a successful match.  While all information called for is important, we have identified the following items that are critical in completing your profile:

For Nonprofits:

  1. Board Development Plans – how you plan to develop your board through the addition of new members
  2. Organization, mission and programs
  3. Listing of current board members, and
  4. Desired skills you are seeking for your board
  5. List at least one board position

For Individuals:

  1. Personal Statement – what interests do you have in serving on a board; how you might like to contribute as a board member
  2. Work history – particularly your current position
  3. Skills and expertise, and
  4. Service interests

We have developed detailed Guides to assist you in the process of completing your profile, navigating boardnetUSA, and keys to success.  Since participants have found these most helpful, we recommend that you:

  1. Click on the individual or nonprofit tab in the first box above to secure a detailed guide;
  2. Print the Guide out so that you can follow it as you proceed;
  3. Then return here, and click below to obtain your User ID and Password:
